It's Election Time Here Tomorrow (Nov 24)

It's election time here and I haven't seen any 'hungama' anywhere, anytime. Not even one publicity poster, a public meeting, or a political rally. Everything is so different here from what we see in India. One interesting fact I came to know is every citizen has to compulsorily vote, otherwise each one who hasn't participated in the ballet will be fined a penalty of about $100.

Two Mysterious Questions!!

1. I never understood why most of the English-speaking foreigners use a 'o' in stead of a '0 (zero)' when referring to the number 'zero' in the daily usage?

the second question is very short...

2. What's up?

Any thoughts...?

When you don't have anything to do, you blog!!!

That's what I am doing now...hahah!!

Business Class or
Budda Class!

My flight just landed in Sydney. I was a little tired, not much as I slept throughout my flight. As usual, all the big guys from the business class got down first. I was sitting in 48th row, of course economy class!

While I was approaching the exit, this cute little girl, aged about seven years, looks at the emptied business class and tells her brother walking next to her -- "This is for the old people!" I couldn't resist laughing, I just burst out laughing...followed by all the others including her parents and the air hostesses.

Chak De India!

I watched it the other day, on Fri 24th Aug. Usually, I go through the captions of movie reviews before I book the tickets or decide to watch any movie. Everyone gave great rating for this movie and it actually lived up to my expectations.

The best thing I like about this movie is it doesn't have any 'heroine' and song-n-dance unlike all his movies. And also, the script is not inspired by any Hollywood flick for the Americans don't know much about Hockey. Had they known even an iota about it, they would have produced a movie or two based on this theme, arguable!! Go, watch it (worth every penny).

Fast food vs. leisure food

"Not for those who want to eat fast food!" followed by the name of the restaurant. The funny part was right below the address, it reads "Opposite to McDonald's" Haha...I'll try to take a picture of it next time when I go there.

A Nice Joke on 'Confidence'

A hypothetical situation where 20 CEOs board an airplane and are told
that the flight that they are about to take is the first-ever to feature
pilotless technology: It is an uncrewed aircraft. Each one of the CEOs is
then told, privately, that their company's software is running the
aircraft's automatic pilot system. Nineteen of the CEOs promptly leave the
aircraft, each offering a different type of excuse.

One CEO alone remains on board the jet, seeming very calm indeed. Asked why
he is so confident in this first uncrewed flight, he replies : "If it is
the same software that runs my company's IT systems, this plane won't even
take off." !!!!

That is called Confidence!!!
